Restivo Wedding

Updated: Oct 15, 2018

September 22, 2018 was the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of two people who mean the world to one another. I was lucky enough to be able to document in a series of images to portray the connection between Jess and Halie as well as their loved ones. This is a couple who draws strength from the presence of the other and who come alive when it's just the two of them.

The little details and personalization added to the rustic wedding scene and the ring was actually the groom's grandmother's ring and the day they chose for their wedding subconsciously was the date of her passing...how amazing is that?

I have to admit, my favorite shots are from getting ready because these emotions were strong leading up to the ceremony. This family has a connection and love for one another that truly demonstrates what it means to be a family. However, the bride to be appeared unaffected by nerves right up until go time, she was right where she needed to be. It was such a wonderful experience to just stand back to observe the natural interactions between everyone.

The ceremony was short and sweet with personally written vows and tears.

Portraits of these two were super easy, I had prompts ready but they weren't really needed as these two are most content just talking to one another.

Celebrations consisted of toasts, singing, booty shaking, alcohol, a bonfire, a photo booth, and lots of hugs all around.

Congrats and best wishes, Jess & Halie, on the rest of your lives together <3
